Harvest Coffee Bar - Century Square

This was one of the worst coffee shop experiences I’ve had. From the moment we walked in, the cashier was rude. We weren’t greeted, and the customer service was unfriendly throughout our visit. As if she is not happy working there. I first ordered a matcha in person at the register. When I got it, I immediately realized it was made with a lot of sugar and milk. It tasted artificial, overly sweet, and nothing like authentic matcha. It was so bad that I threw it away. Thinking I could fix it, I placed a second order using the self-order kiosk. After I had already paid, I told the employee I didn’t want any sugar in my drink. That’s when she finally told me that their matcha is a pre-made sugary syrup, so it couldn’t be made without sugar. This should have been explained before I paid, not afterward. Even worse, I never received the second matcha that I had already paid for. We also ordered a cappuccino, and it was just as disappointing. It had far too much milk and almost no foam, so it wasn’t even close to a proper cappuccino.

This morning, I had a ride with the pickup spot here so naturally I went in to grab something to eat & a drink for my fiancee. The barista inside with the piercings was friendly, but I was disappointed to see that there was very little to choose from as far as food/snacks. Their “pastry” options are very limited, including a blueberry scone, brownie, or lemon bar. Their few other food options were not available when I visited. So between those 3 options, I decided on a brownie which was served ice cold and wasn’t very good. It wasn’t terrible, but for $6 it was pretty bad. For my boyfriend, I ordered a lavender latte and he wasn’t impressed. Again, it was JUST okay. For the high prices, I’d hope for at least good tasting items or at the very least decent portion sizes. Unfortunately, Harvest Coffee Bar did not meet this expectation.

I stopped by for coffee, and I ordered a plain drip coffee. They only have one size for their hot drinks but free refills for drip coffee, and their prices are reasonable. The coffee itself was fine, not the best but not the worst either. The shop was busy when I arrived, there was a few tables open (the rest was filled with college students studying, since it was a weekday). Unfortunately, they where unable to serve food and some of their drinks where blacked out on the menu, supposedly because they where already out of a lot of things. I find this odd given I arrived during the early noon, but I'm not sure if that was because of an issue that day or if they're always like this. Overall, it's good enough if you just need somewhere to hang out and study for awhile.

Love Harvest. They are the best coffee shop in town. I’d say for those who like Oatmilk lattes is important that the milk is not burnt. However, I am confident Harvest’s crew will get it right next time. I’ll keep you posted. Cheers ☕️

Loved the coffee! I had the Harvest vanilla coffee. It was really delicious and no bitter taste. The barista was superb and sold us on a chocolate pastry. It was worth it! The only downside was the place is pretty industrial and stripped down. The bathrooms are a little drab. Definitely stop for the coffee and the service.
